I’ve stripped the Trek 520 down to the essentials, only the original parts I plan on keeping on the bike. Cross your fingers. So here’s what it looks like at the moment. Not pretty, but there is oh so much potential there 
Here’s a pile of parts pulled from it. This is only about 1/2 of what I’ve taken off.
Over the holiday break I’m planning on starting the build process. I’ve got lots of new and used parts on order already.. and I’m hoping to have the entire bike built up w/ new parts by March or so, right when the weather starts to warm up.
